Application Process
Each SBDC location in Virginia selects a local Small Business Veteran of the Year. Nominee applications can be downloaded from this site (see application download on this page). Completed application packets must be sent to the local SBDC office where the business is located. Follow this link to determine the location of the nearest SBDC office. (Link to SBDC offices) Be sure to check with the local SBDC office to determine the nomination deadline for the local center.
Each of the local winners will be sent on for the state award which will be announced in March of each year.
To be nominated for this award be sure to complete all the following:
- Download and complete the application packet
- Send in a copy of your DD214
- Signed VSBDC form 1000 (enclosed in packet)
- Up to three letters of recommendations, or examples of media coverage
- Be sure to send to your local SBDC office by nomination deadline
Application must be printed off and mail or delivered to your local
SBDC office with the other items listed above.
